We will take a deeper look into Gen Z traits and how faculty can use knowledge of the traits to adapt curricula and teaching techniques to better suit this highly technical generation. We will cover topics to help engage and motivate these students as well as assessment strategies.


Ann Nebel

Ann Nebel, Ed. D, MSN, RN works for ATI Nursing Education as an NCLEX Services Manager for the Great Lakes region. She holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and a Master’s in Nursing Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Prior to joining ATI full-time in 2018, Dr. Nebel worked part-time for them in both the online classroom and the virtual classroom in NCLEX services. Dr. Nebel’s academic experience includes assistant professor roles in both baccalaureate and community college settings. Outside of her ATI responsibilities, Dr. Nebel enjoys spending quality time with her three children, Cameron (15), Lauren (11), and Piper (5), and her husband, Dave. Dr. Nebel volunteers her time with the TeamMates Mentoring program working with a mentee during the academic year.
