Strategies to Manage Students’ Test Anxiety and Low Confidence
An undetermined number of students suffer from test anxiety. This condition can result in poor performance in both the classroom and clinical situations. This presentation will focus on distinguishing between test anxiety and poor study habits. Strategies will be presented to identify early students who suffer from test anxiety. Strategies will be presented to screen all students, then intervene to ensure that students have the best possible chance for success in nursing school. It is critical that these issues be addressed so graduating students are confident on NCLEX and begin their first position as professional nurses.
