Teaching Health Assessment for Today

During this workshop, participants will be introduced to new ways of teaching health assessment within the classroom to begin developing clinical judgment skills for students earlier in the curriculum. A live demonstration of HealthAssess will be provided. Participants will engage in active learning strategies and learn how to incorporate them into the classroom.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will gain a better understanding of HealthAssess and ways to access.

Participants will see how HealthAssess develops clinical judgment skills earlier in student learning.

Participants will be able to identify three active learning strategies.

Megan Jackson is Product Manager of Clinical and Simulation for ATI Nursing, where she provides strategic direction for products like Real Life, The Communicator 2.0 and HealthAssess. Megan has 13 years of product development experience with the last 3 years at ATI, bringing her passion and focus for innovation to nursing education. She has earned her Distinguished Toastmaster award from Toastmaster’s International and Pragmatic Marketing Certified – Level Six (PMC-VI).
