Developing Clinical Judgment Through Test and Review
Developing Clinical Judgment Through Test and Review
As nursing educators, our goal is to facilitate learners in becoming nurses. Testing has traditionally been the evaluative process used to determine a student’s progress and success. Students may acknowledge the importance of the test and yet, testing often causes anxiety and many learners believe that the test does not reflect their knowledge or abilities. This session will focus on strategies for educators to incorporate in the classroom and clinical setting which will deepen student self-efficacy for test taking and development of clinical judgement with specific focus on cognitive rehearsal. Faculty and students will explore test taking strategies and remediation skills for use in both clinical and classroom.
