Conflict in the Ivory Tower: Strategies to Prevent and Address Faculty and Administrator Incivility
Fostering civility and collaboration between and among faculty and administrators, promoting a culture of dignity and respect, and building healthy academic work environments is an ethical imperative for all members of the nursing education community. This timely and thought-provoking session explores findings and recommendations from empirical studies on faculty and administrator incivility including the extent of the problem; contributing factors; the most frequently occurring uncivil behaviors; barriers in addressing incivility, and ways to foster civility and healthy academic work environments.
Following this session, participants will be able to:
