Call for Award Nominations

Each year, ATI recognizes four nurse educators who have gone above and beyond in their roles, both in and out of the classroom, to contribute to the field of nursing education.
Each chosen educator is honored at the annual National Nurse Educator Summit with complimentary travel and hotel accommodations and registration to attend the event.

Award nominations are due February 28, 2026.
Nominees must be willing and able to attend the 2026 National Nurse Educator Summit in-person in Tucson, AZ on April 26 – 29, 2026. Must be present to win.

2026 Awards

Emerging Educator Award

This award recognizes a Novice Faculty member who has been in nursing education less than 5 years. This faculty has demonstrated exceptional promise and dedication in the early stages of their academic career. The recipient is celebrated for their innovative teaching methods, passion for nursing, strong professional communication skills, empathetic and compassionate commitment to student success, and potential for significant contributions to the field of nursing education.

Excellence in Teaching Experience Award

This award honors a distinguished educator who has been in nursing education for more than 5 years. This faculty has consistently exhibited excellence in teaching, mentorship, and leadership over many years. This faculty member is acknowledged for their profound impact on students and colleagues, as well as their sustained contributions to advancing nursing education and practice. This faculty member exemplifies professional communication, compassion, and empathy for others, and is a role model for wellness and self-care.

Academic Nurse Leader Award

This award honors a nursing professional who has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, influencing positive change within their organization and the broader nursing community. The recipient is celebrated for their strategic vision, advocacy for the nursing profession, and commitment to improving student and faculty outcomes. The recipient maintains high ethical standards and professional communication, role models professional behaviors, and upholds wellness and self-care.

ATI Champion Award

The ATI Champion Award honors a nursing educator who has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in integrating ATI resources into their teaching practices. Through innovation, facilitation, and advocacy, this individual effectively utilizes ATI tools to enhance student learning and foster a culture of academic excellence. The award celebrates innovative approaches to leveraging ATI’s comprehensive assessment and review materials to support student success.
